The recent California drought has caused residents in Santa Cruz and all over the state to rethink their water usage. There has been mandatory household water reductions and a stop to most outdoor landscape watering. These situations can seem terrible and scary but some people are taking this as an opportunity to breed innovation. Many home builders, including KB Homes, have taken the lead in creating new water systems for their home developments that reuse grey water, have built in filtration system and are extremely efficient (just to name a few aspects). Hopefully we get to see one of their developments in the Bay Area soon.
